The document goes through a chain: notary \u2192 Ministry of Justice \u2192 Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country \u2192 consulate of the destination country. It is longer and more expensive than an apostille, but without it the document will not be accepted there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nostrification (recognition)<\/strong> \u2014 official recognition of a diploma, certificate, or other educational document in another country: confirmation that your qualification corresponds to the local one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Notarized translation<\/strong> \u2014 the translation is performed by a certified translator, and a notary certifies the authenticity of their signature. Such translations are accepted in CIS countries and in most European countries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Translation by a sworn (court) translator<\/strong> \u2014 a translator sworn in in the destination country (Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, etc.). Their seal has official status, so separate legalization of the translation is usually not required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Translation by a consular translator<\/strong> \u2014 the translation is performed or certified by the consulate of the destination country. It is needed where a local notarized translation is not accepted: often this includes Arab countries and China.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apostille on a translation<\/strong> \u2014 an apostille is placed not only on the document itself, but also on the notarized translation.
